Here at Hope Pediatric Therapy & Learning, we feel that we are developing a partnership with your family to tap into your child’s innate abilities of resiliency to develop autonomy (independence and self regulation).  We begin with a consultation with the parents and caregivers of each child to answer questions regarding our services and their child.  We then schedule an initial screen to determine if a full evaluation is needed.

All services require an evaluation.  The evaluation process can include parent/caregiver questionnaires, school faculty questionnaires, standardized assessments, and clinical observations relating to:

  • Gross motor skills

  • Fine motor skills

  • Visual motor skills

  • Visual perceptual skills

  • Balance and coordinating

  • Listening profile

  • Auditory processing

  • Self help skills (activities of daily living)

  • Planning and sequencing skills

  • Oral motor skills

  • Ambulation (pre-walking and walking)

  • Muscle tone

  • Sensory processing difficulties

  • Attention span

  • Behavior and transitions
